The Legacy
Our microbrewery proudly operates out of a renovated smokehouse built in the 1950’s - a beloved piece of local history that now serves as the home of our small-batch brewing operation.
We preserved the rustic soul of this former smoked-meat landmark while infusing it with new energy. Today, the scent of hickory has been replaced by the aroma of fresh hops and malt, creating a taproom atmosphere that is as authentic as the beer we pour.

Hometown Brewery.
Smokehouse Brewery was founded by longtime brewers Mike and Shelly Peters, creating a true family legacy rooted in over 25 years of brewing experience.
Driven by a shared dream to create beer worth sharing, Mike and Shelly founded the brewery in 2019 and soon teamed up with their son Andy in 2021 to grow and expand operations. Together, they have cultivated a distinct brewing style that respects traditional techniques while fearlessly exploring modern flavour profiles.
